Social Responsibility Policy
Effective Date: 30th May 2025
At the London Centre for Compliance and Legal Studies (LCCLS), we are committed to promoting social responsibility, equality of access, and global educational equity. As part of our mission, we ensure that compliance and legal education are accessible to those who need it most, regardless of their financial background or geographic location.
- Commitment to Educational Access
1.1 LCCLS recognises education as a universal right and is dedicated to reducing barriers to learning.
1.2 Our social responsibility initiatives include offering free and subsidised courses, supporting global education programmes, and participating in partnerships that advance learning equity.
- Annual Free Course Allocation
2.1 Each year, LCCLS allocates up to 200 fully-funded premium course places to individuals who demonstrate financial hardship or extraordinary need.
2.2 These places are offered on a first-come, first-reviewed basis, based on the merit and authenticity of submitted applications.
2.3 All applicants must submit a completed Free Course Application Form, stating:
- The specific course for which they are applying
- The reason for the fee waiver request
- Any relevant documentation supporting financial need, displacement, humanitarian status, or other hardship
2.4 All applications are confidential and reviewed by an internal LCCLS panel.
2.5 Final decisions rest solely with LCCLS and are not subject to appeal. Priority is given to early applicants, those with clearly demonstrated need, and individuals residing in underserved regions.
2.6 Successful applicants will be notified by email and must complete registration within the timeframe provided.
- Terms of Free Course Enrolment
3.1 Recipients of fully-funded courses agree to comply with the same terms, conditions, and conduct expectations as paying students.
3.2 LCCLS reserves the right to withdraw access or cancel enrolment for misuse, breach of policy, or dishonesty in the application process.
3.3 Completion of the course may entitle the student to a digital certificate, subject to fulfilment of assessment requirements.
- Global Education Contributions
4.1 In addition to our course-based outreach, LCCLS donates 5% of annual net profits to support the UNESCO Education Sector.
4.2 This division works on initiatives such as education for displaced learners, adult literacy programs, and vocational training in under-resourced communities.
4.3 Contributions are made annually and documented in our social impact report, published for transparency to our stakeholders and students.
- Community and Outreach
5.1 LCCLS engages in community-based activities and collaborative partnerships that support capacity building in compliance, legal awareness, and ethical training.
5.2 We are open to working with NGOs, charities, schools, and public institutions seeking to integrate compliance or legal literacy into their outreach programs.
- Reporting and Oversight
6.1 Our social responsibility commitments are monitored by the LCCLS Strategy and Ethics Committee, which meets bi-annually to review progress, evaluate impact, and recommend improvements.
6.2 The annual social responsibility report includes:
- Number of free course recipients
- Use and impact of donations
- Planned initiatives for the following year
